28 July 2009 Hi, BIM CON!FAB participants, Just a few last reminders and announcements. Please read! This is not your confirmation notice – you should have received that earlier this week. 1) The lecture room that the event will be taking place is SGM 123 (Seeley G Mudd 123). It is located on the west side of campus, near the gate to campus off of Vermont Street. Parking is $8. The nearest parking structure is PSA (Parking Structure A), also called the Vermont Street Parking Plaza. For further information, see http://www.usc.edu/about/visit/upc/public_parking/ http://www.usc.edu/about/visit/upc/driving_directions/ 2) The registration table will be set up in the lobby in front of the lecture hall for you to pick up your badge. If you are attending both days, please bring your badge with you on Friday. We plan to begin on time so please plan enough time for driving, parking, and arriving! PLEASE NOTE THE STARTING TIMES! THURSDAY Due to cancellations, there are a few spaces available for Thursday. Email kensek@usc.edu if you are interested in being confirmed. Check in begins at 7:45 am. The program begins at 8:15 am. FRIDAY Please do not come to Friday unless you have been confirmed for Friday. There is a waiting list. Check in begins at 8:15 am. The program begins at 8:45 am. 3) We will NOT be supplying drinks at the symposium! I recommend that you bring something to drink with you. Food and drink are available in “The Lot,” on the east side of SGM. Due to the generosity of the software companies, we will be supplying Subway box lunches both Thursday and Friday. Please take the time during lunch to talk with the software representatives and thank them. This is also a good opportunity to learn more about their products. We have only given them a very short period of time to actually present. Many, but not all of the sponsors, will be available on Friday. Spnsors: Onuma, Beck Technology, Nemetschek North America (Vectorworks), Bobrow Consulting Group (ArchiCAD), Digital Vision Automation , Solibri, Archway Systems (Bentley), Autodesk, Synchro, Ltd., Optira and ESRI. 4) Also take time to thank the speakers! They have generously donated their time and effort to making this a success. This promises to be a great symposium! 5) If you are an AIA member and wish to sign up for CEUs, please remember to bring your AIA number with you. Thank you for your participation!
